Leonardo Favio, a singer/songwriter with one of the most unique and powerful voices in Latin music, started singing in 1968 while appearing on various radio programs. He made his acting debut in 1957’s Angel de Espaa, followed by 1958’s El Secuestrador, after relocating from his hometown of Mendoza to Buenos Aires and being enamored with film. Soon after, he created his debut short film, El Amigo. His period of musical popularity was defined by strong songs, usually based on love tales, in the 1970s. “Fuiste Mia Un Verano,” “Ella…Ella Ya Me Olvidó,” and “O Quizás Simplemente Te Regale Una Rosa” have all become standards. Leonardo Favio began traveling again after becoming a Christian artist in order to fund his filmmaking endeavors.
